Carol O’Biso is a founding member of Allen Ross Architecture as well as a published author. She has over forty years of global professional experience, in a diverse range of disciplines and possesses a strong set of project administration skills. Ms. O’Biso coordinates the Regulatory Approval process for client projects, coordinates and edits all contracts (Owner/Architect; Owner/Contractor; Architect/Consultant), manages public bidding, and tracks and coordinates Applications for Payment and Change Orders during the Construction Phase of projects. She is also responsible for all human resources, bookkeeping and invoicing work at Allen Ross Architecture. An invaluable member of the management team, she is instrumental in setting and meeting company goals.
Ms. O’Biso began her professional career in the museum world, as the Assistant Registrar at the American Craft Museum (now the Museum of Arts and Design) and later, as Associate and then Chief Registrar at the American Federation of the Arts, both in New York City. She has also served as the Registrar for the Thyssen-Bornemisza Foundation in Lugano, Switzerland, and was a Project Coordinator for the building of Capital Discovery Place, a $12 million children’s science center in Wellington, New Zealand. She was a founding member of The Gardiner Gazette, a quarterly newspaper serving the town of Gardiner in New York’s Hudson Valley; its General Manager for 11 years; and for 12 years the editor of three newsletters for the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies on topics of interest to collectors of fine arts. For 11 years prior to helping found Allen Ross Architecture, she was the Office Manager and Project Administrator for another successful architectural firm in the Hudson Valley.
